Silkash ten50 - Northstone Developments

Fiona’s role throughout 2019 at Northstone, as Sales & Marketing Consultant, was to comment on the design and specification of the house types being developed and to work closely with the Peel Marketing team to develop a brand and ‘naming’ principle for the individual schemes, working on developing the sales website and social media campaign.

Then WK Design & Interiors was commissioned to install the two show houses (ten50 and eleven68) on their first site at Silkash.

Our conceptual design approach for the show houses was to take influence from the Scandinavian ethos of the Northstone house type designs and the Silkash identity.

Anita Jolley, Senior Sales Manager - Northstone

"It was really important we got the correct interior design scheme to compliment our very first development. Fiona understood the brief and worked closely with our architect and me to provide the right brands and right feel of the show homes.

Everyone who has visited the development has been very complimentary and love the style of the interiors, they are different from the more suburban style show homes but worked perfectly for our target market."

We have drawn on our extensive experience in presenting the show houses to make them appeal to their target market, suggesting how the spaces could be used to enhance the floor areas.

Scandinavian homes are often a colourful eclectic mix of styles, influences, colours and materials all sitting in a juxtaposition complimenting each other. For ten50 we used a vibrant mix of turquoises & teal, yellows & ochres and touches of oranges throughout – a vibrant and energising on trend colour scheme.

Kitchen/Dining
The house entrance arrives straight into the kitchen/dining space, with a simple open screen to give some separation. The dark units are contrasted with a very bold yellow wall and multicoloured/styled chairs round a family farmhouse table.

Flowing through from the kitchen to the living room this space has a similar colour theme through the ground floor.

Living room
With a vibrant turquoise sofa contrasted with a yellow feature rocking chair, the space has lovely large windows dropping to the floor and plenty space for a large desk and work space. Floor to ceiling ‘wave’ linen voiles soften the room contrasting a few pops of colour from bold graphic artwork.

Master Bedroom 1
Picking up the strong aqua colour the master bedroom is fresh and bold with yellow accessories and a neon sign over the bed.

Guest study bedroom 2
A home working space with a desk and sofa bed showing a multiuse space and in the same bold colour scheme.

Kids Bedroom 3
The kids bedroom has a bold wallpaper and bedding with a fun ‘wigwam’ bed.

Wet areas
Very bold paint colours are a small surprise elements in the enclosed spaces and are tied into the theme of the house with bold citrus colours.
